The English translation of Mozambiquan author Mia Couto’s novel, Woman of the Ashes, translated by David Brookshaw, received its first review in the Sunday Times in February 2019, with reviewer Nick Rennison describing it as “an original, occasionally perplexing but always intriguing work of fiction.”
